This is adventure travel the way it was meant to be. Ride or hike the trails that your colleagues and friends only dream about! Travel ancient game trails, hear the rush of glacial fed rivers, discover 50 million year-old fossils, and see a spectacular array of colour across miles of over 150 species of wild flowers. Experience it for yourself.
The pristine wilderness of Spruce Lake Park is accessible by foot, bike, horseback or float plane only. Its remoteness helps preserve the outstanding quality of wilderness. Unlike the granite Coast Ranges to the south, our Chilcotin Mountains have rounded tops and broad U-shaped valleys. The glaciated shale terrain makes summitting challenging yet obtainable, no matter what your method of travel.
Located on the leeward side of the Coast Mountains, the South Chilcotins lie within a transition one between the Coast Mountains and the Chilcotin Plateau. This favoured position produces a rain shadow. This means sunny skies and a dry climate. The environment is “almost bug-free.”
